What Are You Doing Right Now

Just had four posts answering peoples' questions on SW because the answers were posted here and you have to pay if the info is on an external site.

What!? While this isn't the first incident of obvious pay-to-play with them, it's getting bad.

We've gotten it a lot. This was a big batch

While it is annoying, it's the biggest indicator that they recognize ML as the bigger player and are very scared of people stumbling on the site, so they hide it (and it's solutions) from their users.

No, they notify you when they do it. It's not secret (from the poster.) Or I assume that it always is.

What's more awesome is that in the old days, if an ML thread got linked from SW we'd see this huge spice in traffic related to it. Now, we had four links or so today and... zero rise in traffic. Whether because ML is so much busier or SW is no longer a traffic driver we don't know, but the message is really clear. SW is no longer able to alter the traffic patterns, we aren't the little site any longer.

There has been a rash of posts disappearing... not just on SW.

I've had some localized internet latency issues that made me think things were disappearing the past day or two. Dunno what's up with @RojoLoco tho, offend too many people lately?

Everywhere, not just on mangolassi. I notice it more here because it's what's always up while waiting for processes to complete now. Not sure where the actual issue was.

Moving my website from Wordpress on Dreamhost to Ghost on DigitalOcean...
Te-di-ous.
I do however really like the nice clean look and lack of bloat in comparison to Wordpress.

I'll be interested in some feedback on Ghost after you've had some time on it.
