Once went to a greek taverna and they had octopus on the menu, thought, yeah, why not, I'll give it a try...
Something was lost in translation...I was expecting something similar to your picture...I got baby octopuses...still wriggling.
OMG. AAAAHHHHHHHH
Where were you?
This was in a Greek owned and run restaurant in the UK!
To be fair, I've eaten worse...but yeah
Sorry... but if I have to chase my food across the table with a fork / other eating utensils, then it is not done enough and must be cooked (more if necessary).
Hegh rIntaH ghaH nongtaH ghom jIH!
I'd rather meet death himself!I saw a video not too long ago. Someone ordered octopus and if you put some kind of sauce on it the legs will move and act like it's alive

That just means that it is really fresh.
I like my food fresh... but also don't want it trying to escape while I am eating it, lol.

When I lived in Clearwater FL, we would always get live shrimp for bait. After a day of zero bites, we had a delicious lunch of grilled shrimp... yep, we seasoned the little bastards and tossed them on the grill alive. #freshness

*a small shrimp escapes my jaws and lands on the floor, only to be eaten by my faithful dog half a second later.
