What Are You Doing Right Now

@dafyre I thought your use of the phrase "for pocket change" was an indication of the rate that would be expected. My side work rates are really high now that I have a job and don't want the side work.

My side job rates have gone up in the last year due to needing the money. No sense in pricing myself out of the side jobs. Unfortunately for me, I actually really do need the work, at least for now.
We're looking at the possibility of starting a business doing this. I work really really well with this guy (we worked together at my last job). The code we'll be using is stuff that he and I originally put together.

I'm scream-typing into my keyboard at a Small business that wants to virtualize on the free version of ESXi! The OP has no backup solution in place and wants to buy a NAS for file shares. With 4 drives in the NAS, rather then using a cost effective server from xByte, and put the savings into a NAS for a backup appliance
! God !

I wish, this guy seems to as the general I-worked-out-a-printer-issue-once kind of shop, and is in charge of IT for it. So he's not even an MSP.
He's asked for advice, and completely went ass-backwards with it.

There's sympathy, empathy and also mimithy. Mimithy is where you adopt a person's feelings as your own. I'm scream-typing right now for this reason only. There is no benefit to this action for anyone, least of all me.

I also get to tell a client that I can't help them any more since I took this job. The job is worth it just for that.

The lack of money I was making at my last job haha.

Huh - well that wasn't as difficult as I expected. But it's just a base line, and nothing special done.
Just finished setting up a VM and doing a WDS setup of Windows 10. Now,.. lets see if I can capture it and repeat.

WDS is pretty easy. You just need to make sure you have all the drivers accessible.

Drivers,... yea,.. what do you think this is... a bus company? We don't have any drivers... They all got hit by a bus.

Testing NodeBB 1.0. So far, so good.

Awesome...
Well,.. think I have done enough damage for one day... I need a mental break - so off to do something mindless...

About to cut over. I have a means of testing two versions side by side with the live database. Kinda cool. Going to kill 0.9.4 and bring up 1.0.0 in a few seconds....
If you get a 503, we should be right back.
