What Are You Doing Right Now

Working on catching up on five days worth of ML, email and such... also dealing with a client PBX issue on Dialout.. Oh the joys.
Curse you Monday.... Curse you.

Got our boiler fixed this morning. Been sleeping without heat for the last three nights.

Well, I am no longer MIA here, now that the Holidays are over and I can come back to work to recuperate.
I had like 1 day where we didn't have to go somewhere or do something. It was quite aggravating!
That being said, everybody is happy and healthy, so 2016 is off to a good start!
-
I know that feeling, my holidays are just one thing after another without the slightest hint of free time. There is always something that we are expected to be doing. No rest, no downtime.
-
Here is a picture from our local town. I walked 9km yesterday over there to pick up a rental car.
-
We had lots of relaxing time here (the nice part of not liking my family).

Ha ha. That fixes a lot of things around the holidays.

Flew to Florida to surprise my parents for Christmas, stayed down there for 4 days. Flew home worked 3 days, drove six hours to my in-laws, drove to Pittsburgh the next night for wedding rehearsal and New Years eve party. Drove New Years day at 1 AM two hours back to my in-laws. Wedding the 2nd... drove 6 hours home the third. I need a vacation from vacation.

We did a 12 hour flight from Houston to Istanbul. Landed in a snow storm. Had our flight to Athens cancelled which caused used to miss the next day's flight to Chania on Crete. We were stuck in Istanbul in the snow for 23 hours. Our flight out the next morning was delayed like six hours causing us to miss another flight to Chania. Finally got to Athens and they had lost our luggage. Spent two hours getting our luggage located (at least it was found.) Thankfully we were able to book the last flight out of Athens and rushed through the airport and just made it. Got to Chania late at night and all of the rental car places were closed and taxis gone. Finally got a taxi that we didn't fit in, had to have luggage in the trunk with it open and bungie cords holding it closed. Got to our village just before midnight and haven't had heat in most of the house for three days (got it a few hours ago.) It's been an adventure.
We had to rent a car and the nearest rental is in the city three villages away. So yesterday I walked all of the way out to the city which took most of the day and rental a car.

My family gatherings are staring to get like that. Pretty much all of my aunts and uncles on one side of the family need a ride to the gathering, and a ride home, and possibly three or four other stops in between all of that... and it's just crazy. We're talking about having Christmas at my house next year, and if they can't get a ride, "We love you, but no."
This year was a relatively small gathering because Pops strictly enforced the rules about not coming high as a kite or drunk as a skunk.

Going through security footage to see if any of our cameras caught people breaking into our yard over the holidays.
-
Do you have a lot of problems with people sneaking into your yard?
-
@scottalanmiller Not sneaking, cutting holes in the fence. It happens a couple of times a year. This time they stole tools. No usable footage, not enough light back there...

Well that stinks. Can you maybe set up one of these?

All the more reason to set up motion detectors and high powered floodlights... Tim Taylor style.
Edit: I like @gjacobse 's suggestion!

And don't forget your assistant for setting up your flood lights...
-
@dafyre yea... One of our yards no one will break into, we have yard dogs that are protective of their territory.

See if you can find some Airplane Lights... that should spot light them....
