Arrived in Los Angeles a few minutes ago and the wifi here is just as bad as Phoenix...bus for Oceanside leaves at 5:30AM PDT

      WiFi? where? at the hotel?

      Hotel, that's funny...bus terminal

I wouldn't expect them to have very much bandwidth.

I'm thinking T1...it's really quite horrible

          Should be able to.
Open Explorer, Right click on the My computer, then Properties

Or, try Windows Logo+Break: System Properties dialog box

Looking the the verbiage above seems that version of 8 is not compatible with joining to a domain. May be similar to the 'Windows Home Edition'....

The ability to join a domain is the differentiator between Home and Pro. There ARE other features, but that's the one that makes the difference.

Watermain break in the area - we will be without water in 2 hours. I am working to transition our phones to another location.

If you had that new Windows Phone docking system everyone could just pick up their desktops and take them with them!

Dammit, I just created the use case for that.

Especially if they are folks that can work on their apps using RDP.

Set your phone / tablet in the dock fire up the RDP app and you're good to go. 8-)

I'm sure that that will be the biggest use case for this in business, as a portable thin client. Which actually makes it make way more sense than other uses that I can think of (in business.0

Having an adult conversation from David (Spiceworks) about "gaming the badge system" for SW.

Regardless if the information is completely valid...
