Testing Out Comodo One RMM and Helpdesk

Got the first device added to the system...
-
Just pushed the RMM agent out to my desktop:
-
Hardware info on the non-virtual machines...
-
-
For some reason, Gene's machine gathered tons more details than mine did...
-
Wonder if we can set up a device to try this on -

Free AND Hosted? How is that supposed to work? What do they sell so they can make money?

They sell additional modules like antivirus.

It is your standard freemium model. Give a base service away for free and charge for add ons or enhancements .
Not a bad idea really.

When we were looking at RMM, we decided on N-Able, who works the same way.
Freemium, exactly the right word!

Does it play nice with other brands of antivirus? Or do they make it practically incompatible, so you feel forced to buy theirs?

I think it plays fine, no issues in testing so far, it just doesn't auto-deploy and manage other brands.

That's to be expected. My concern would be the interoperability. As long as they don't break each other, that works for me.

Doesn't seem to.

How goes the bandwidth with those agents phoning home?
-
I have comodo one, but I need to spend more time with it.
I have been using their Endpoint management system with great results. But they are going to mothball that solution, and go fully cloud based.
I will be forced to move to that platform fully myself, or find something else. But for the price it's nice. Also they have their version of the malware analysis tool ( like anubus)

Just put in my first REAL ticket. Instead of having to put in an attachment you can copy and paste a pdf/picture etc. and have it right in the body of the ticket.

Awesome, except that now I have to work on that ticket

Someone at the SpiceCorp of Chicagoland last night is a new user of Comodo RMM and likes it.

So far it seems pretty good. We still have a LOT of testing to do but it's working well.
