@cteneyck by starting over. You jumped in the middle without ever getting the beginning done.
start with a flat network and a working router config then you add complexity.
-
Thats the problem I dont know how to config the router to route outside and I am asking for help with that now

The wizard on the Ubiquiti will set that up for you.

I have you the answer. Start over. What is the first thing you do with any router?

I am using my phone to communicate because I am desperate. I dont have alot of data -
EdgeRouter X definitely has a wizard. I set one up for my dad two weeks ago, it's the exact model that he uses.
Don't forget to update your firmware, always, before starting as well.

You download to a PC and upload it. You always do that before you start installing a new networking device (or any device.) Do updates before you start so that you don't start with unnecessary risk.

You don't. you also have no point in having a router though.

But we have that one too, and it definitely has wizards. But they aren't there if you didn't put modern firmware on it. The X always has the wizards because there are no old stock items predating the wizards. But the Lite comes with firmware potentially many years old that doesn't work. You need to get it updated and it will "just work" once you do that.

Plug your laptop in directly, download the latest firmware, update the router, plug in the router and let it guide you through the setup.
-
@scottalanmiller I will have to wait till after i can download after work.
-
@JaredBusch what?
-
@JaredBusch this doesnt make any sense.
