Yes, they have a special audio conferencing license for SFB, and now Teams. It is an add-on license that you assign to specific users. Although, based on your use-case, I can't tell if it would be of any real help. Here is more info on it. As others have said over and over, you should look elsewhere.

This is what I think we would need, but I'm neither inclined to figure that out, nor do I want any additional equipment (VM or otherwise [MS recommends physical for this?!]) to do this. . .

Although it is for Office 365, those same DNS should be internal on your Exchange configured properly.

I've been on G Suite for two weeks and so far my impression is that provisioning is broken, GMail is actually just as bad as Exchange, and Keep is the only good thing that they make. Why'd you go G Suite over MS?

Already in place, and with engineering moving with pedal to the floor, not a good time to rip and replace the existing infrastructure. Won't put in MS, though. We've got zero dependency on that stuff, no reason to consider Exchange.

Yeah it's not something we care for, as there are to many nuances for a system that has no tie in to what we need

I saw this yesterday - I don't have any users in my SfB and I'm the only person in my O365 account - so hopefully it will just STFU and stay quit now. 🙂

And they likely redeploy stuff, so they might deploy gear that has already been paid for.

@GregoryHall's method is what I used to do this exact thing a while back.

Only thing I wasn't able to figure out was how to automatically add the group to people's lists - I ended up writing up some tutorials on how to add groups and which one to add for one of our departments that needed to use S4B.
