I thought the Zero had no connectors, you had to soder on anything you wanted to connect

It only has 2 micro USB for data and power, and a micro sd card slot.

We have wanted to get one of these kits for a while but with all of our travelling it fell by the wayside. Maybe we will get around to getting one now. They are very cool. It is a great idea and I'm sure that my seven year old would love it.

I really need to get one of these and do something like this. Need to get a 3D printer and make really interesting retro style cases for it too.

That is pretty awesome! A great starter setup to a self made entertainment center for the car. I've done no research - it would be cool to add a cellular network connection to the mix too.

For giggles I watch my UBNT router Traffic Analysis during the day.

Mine is boring since the upstream is going through a traffic shaper and thus not offloaded, which makes the new traffic analysis less fun.

Yeah, I don't think it is anything ground breaking, just really handy for very little money. If it saves a few hours, well worth $13!

      That's what I'm thinking exactly 😉

@coliver That's interesting. If I can pull off this first phase, taking it to a higher level should be a breeze. I'll keep you informed of my progress. Keep in mind, it's not the top priority on my list, but it sure has my interest currently.

Oh, I was just saying if you could get it working reliably and have it wifi/cellular connected there would be a market for it. This overall sounds like a fun project.

I'd like to toy with one to control all the stuff in my apartment. Need network / wifi / whatever enabled powerbars but that's not a huge hurdle anymore.

That would be a fun project. If only I had a stable home in which to do that these days.

I've been hearing a lot about Banana Pi lately. I've been told it's basically just a more powerful Raspberry Pi.

I really need to buy one too. I was told that I had earned a free one from a vendor when I got my vExpert certification but that was a marketing scam. They never really sent one. None of that free stuff that people claimed to give to vExperts turned out to be real. Except for Pluralsight, that was awesome.
