Their official image is here ghcr.io/mastodon/mastodon

Yeah, that one was flaky. But is it official? Why's it on a different account?

Yes it's their official. Ghcr is the GitHub packages repo. It's similar to GCR, ECR, etc. Other OCI image repositories are more popular now since Docker has imposed limits on Docker Hub.

I just use CloudFlare for families. If I need to, I can change DNS on whatever to view something.

That only blocks malware and porn if you choose to. What about ads, marketing crap, tracking, etc.?

I leverage what's in the browser for that stuff.

That might not be 100% the best way to handle it, but I don' thave to manage and pay for a server to do it.

      No Raspberry Pi lying around?

Who has an unused computer lying around? lol

I don’t, this old box of mine is hitting its last legs...

You could deploy an image using FOG

While this was my initial thought as well, he has asked about doing this simultaneously. Which fog generally isn't "all at once go".

It kind of is...I was using FOG to do multicast imaging 7 years ago. We're talking 30-60 machines at a clip.

Sure it can do it but that doesn't mean that you should do it. It's about network performance and if you're not setup for it you'll encounter massive slowdowns

Mutlicast is the way to go. You can even do it over broadcast domains. It sounds like you didn't have multicast configured correctly? Even doing 60 machines we didn't see any network slowness associated with imaging.

I've only had that issue when using it on KVM. On my Mac using Virtualbox is works.

I've not had it happen before.

So anyone that wants to configure Nginx in front of it can do that, too.

I think the problem is selecting something. If you select nothing, Nethserver installs. I just did it, no choice needed and it installs the full thing.

Yep, that is the problem....selecting "Minimal Install" makes it a CentOS install, select nothing & all is good.

Okay, I signed in and then closed the lid.

Light was showing standby. I left it for about 45 minutes. opened lid. Keyboard lights came on but the screen did not come back up. Pressing keys does nothing. Pressing power button does nothing. hard power cycle required to power on.

So, seems to be the same issue.

Does it happen when using Korora 25 Gnome?

I have not installed anything else.

Just confirmed this works on Ubuntu as well. I imagine that means Mint would also work, but have not confirmed Mint yet, and probably will not as the only installs of that I have are workstations that don't require quite the same level of monitoring.
