Does that driver come with inf file that you can use to install drivers through add/remove printers wizard?

It does, and that hadn't worked for me either. Even went so far as to try adding the driver into the "print server settings" manually. Nothing worked till I got the windows update services fixed.

I wonder what the dependancy was? .Net 1?

Something that shouldn't be around anymore is all I know. It was .Net 1.3 something

I setup a Fedora 25 VM for a friend a while back on my server in our colo in order for him to republish a bunch of D&D stuff he used to host from home years back.

I wanted to verify the root password today, but could find no notes on my personal Nextcloud and I could not guess it as you can see.

But I apparently left myself a note in my user's home folder.

I'm hoping to get a secondary Android this year, as a second phone I think that it would be ideal for me. I'm considering the Asus ZenFone Go and the ZenPhone 3 Zoom. The dual SIM card thing is a huge factor for me. As is the crazy long battery life.

      Is this the apocalypse ?

      Something like that.

Android seems like a really bad choice for high security applications, like military. Custom Raspberry Pis with super locked down Linux general purpose OSes would make more sense.

Any consumer cellular devices period, I can easily triangulate a cell phone with very little hardware investment.

Do we know that they were consumer phones? I didn't look into it. You can put Android on non-phones, too.

True. I was assuming because the malware was able to stay in contact somehow. Might have been on a dedicated military network with just 1 connection to the outside.

      Very interesting article...

You don't have to hack hundreds of phones. Have 3-5 important android devices may be enough to nearly paint a full picture.

      And one might attack another.

This is where credit fraud protection comes into place, and class action law-suits start for all of the declined claims from people who have had their credit cards used illegally, and the bills not dropped by Visa.

I'd be surprised if there aren't already commericals on TV for 'Do you have a Visa credit card? Has your credit card been used without your consent, and the charges not dropped by Visa, call us now, you may be entitled to X"

      Call J. G. Wetworth! 1-877-CASH-NOW....

Sorry... I'll see myself out now.

Let's all jump on board for lawsuits that only make the lawyers money!

Hey I need that 30 cents!

I had to try and find a key for QuickBooks here, what a nightmare. Didn't have the login for their online site, and getting a confirm sent by phone was impossible due to them only being able to send text message to the registered phone on the account. Or an automated call. the phone is an ip phone that cant get texts and is answered by an attendant, so neither of those worked.
So I had to call them. Or it, rather. Had some very nice and unhelpful computer voice tell me to talk to it like a normal person. Not happening. Hitting 0 doesn't work. Infuriated, I hung up, and proceeded to search through years of old email to find the key. Eventually found the key in an old file folder in a file cabinet.
Really wish we could get away from it.

That's definitely different than other trusted sources lead me to understand.

Check your sources. Are they quoting the laundry list of 2013 (this article was 2014) references to the opposite being true? Looks like there was reason to believe it in 2013, but nothing substantial, so everyone repeated it. But it got put to the test in 2014 and proved to not be what people had been saying.
