Wondering, we're about to by a SSL certificate from... well someome like 123reg. For an internal appliance (Clear pass)
Is it worth using it and installing on internal servers like Esxi/venter, zabbix, Unifi, etc etc even if they don't get accessed from the outside world?

I don't know what Clear pass is, so my initial question would be why is it special and gets a cert from a public CA. To answer your specific question, I'd say if you're paying for the cert (assuming this is a wildcard cert), get some mileage out of it and use it where you can.

@eddiejennings Clearpass is a Aurba/HPE product that does some wizard stuff to stop unauthorized stuff just plugging into the network at any of our sites 🙂

But yeah i agree, if i have it use it 🙂

I go through the selection process again in a couple of weeks... for a third time in as many years. I swear, I need to start playing the lottery.

There's a powershell to help with that.

Well ,... I will at the VERY Least - kick to the disabled folder.

We are moving forward with a complete ADUC re-do.

At the office waiting on an HVAC tech to fix our server room AC. It went out last week, and I was surprised to find out that it could be (temporarily) fixed by a power cycle. Our support manager called me yesterday to tell me it's out again (he could hear all the fans spinning as fast as they could), so I had to come out here on a Sunday to...

Turn it off and back on.

But today hopefully it gets fixed.

I was hoping for that as well... Had to cancel a recording session last night, and I still have editing to do before tracking vocals.
