I helped my aunt after geek squad had her PC. They didn't set the ram in fully. I didn't think about the codes. I would think that hardware issues aren't that common. Is that the case in anyone's experience?

This probably used to be more common, but I have seen loose RAM fool so many people. If you are ever in a situation where a system wont POST and there is no video always check the RAM. Sometimes it is loose like you mentioned or other times you may have a bad stick. If there are two sticks, try only one stick at a time. Just to verify it isnt a bad stick causing the system not to POST.

Not so common, no. Assembling computers is pretty basic and straightforward and nearly all issues happen at the time of assembly. ONce they are working, you pretty much get to move on. When they fail, you typically just replace them. Taking them apart, changing parts, etc. is relatively rare. So hardware issues tend to be rare and simple.
There is a reason that we spend almost no time studying them - in a business setting you basically eliminate them as they are too expensive to waste time on.

If you get the blue screen of death on windows, do you have to reinstall the operating system? Or is there a simpler way to fix it?

Sometimes it is hardware related so a reinstall will not solve the issue in those cases.

Most of the time, you do nothing. It happens to every system, sometimes. It's just a crash. You will 99% of the time just restart the computer and move on.

I am listening about beeps code errors, but what happen if the computer has not speaker installed on the case? should I have to buy an extra speaker or something else? because I was dealing with an issue on a computer and I just noticed that a red light was shining on the motherboard and after check the motherboard manual I noticed that the CPU is not working, maybe I would noticed that faster if the speaker would be installed but there is no speaker on the computer case.

Then you get nothing.

Typically a tiny speaker is somewhere on the motherboard.

-
@brianwinkelmann yeah, likely on there somewhere. They are completely tiny. Like the size of the tip of your pinky.
-
@scottalanmiller but that was the red light that indicates that the CPU is not working.

I suspect that there is a speaker there, too. Just no beep codes from that machine. Look up the specific motherboard to see if it has beep codes.
