Is Google meets the same thing or rebranded / mashed together?

Google Meets is also a dead product. It's all merged into Google Hangouts (which includes meeting, screenshare, calling, chat etc).

Oh, yeah, hangouts... the meeting URLs still start with meet.google.com. I was thinking of that.

I thought Hangouts died. We tried to use it at a company two years ago and google was phasing it out at the time and we couldn't get it.

yeah - Google keep saying they are killing it - but then they just keep forgetting to do it.
