Troubleshooting 802.1X auth issues with our wifi and our recently upgraded NPS server. Ntoe I did not do the upgrade nor put in teh wifi so flying a bit blid as there's no documentation from the previous employee who set this all up originally.
Me Thinks I can get new wifi out of this if I play my cards right -
Apparently my daughter has pneumonia in her left lung, water on her ear, and a mild rash (which we're already treating).
On the wonders of parenthood.

Think i'm making progress on selling the idea of Hyperconverged instead of the normal 3-2-1
Even got our suppliers looking at it instead of SANs :), one even said "why not hyperconverged" woop

3-2-1 is also a backup term. Hyperconvergence isn't bullet proof either

Anyone have any good reading on databases? I found this book that Caltech uses for their year one students that seems good

OK moving from a "Inverted Pyramid of Doom" setup.
No solution is bullet proof. But at least we are heading in the right direction

Technically, you originally moved away from the "correct" approach as a single server is hyperconverged. You're going back to the basics

Had a meeting last night that I thought was going to go a complete different direction than it did. .
the new sales guy that started the first of the year interviews for GM next week, as our current GM is stepping down, the sales guy called me into his office , and I dont want to go into to much detail about what was said, but it was basically he wants change, and specifically wants me to step up into a different role in the company, as part of his presentation during the interview process, he's putting me out there as part of the solution to the company..
If it sticks it'll be huge. I may have spoke to him indirectly without knowing he's going to be the new GM ( i mean that's why they brought him down here to begin with.. as i just found out.) about a few issues i've seen and things that were bothering me..
