Printer suggestion

Looking to replace an older HP Laserjet p4015. Any recommendations on a brand/make/model that is dependable and requires little maintenance. Printing black and white only, up to 5,000 pages a month. Need at least two 500 page trays.

@i3 I upgraded some of ours to the Hp laserJet m501 series and they have been solid.

For this volume we get the Brother HL-L6200DWT. We have primarily Brother printers and have been very satisfied. Printer and ink costs seem to be among the lowest we've found.

The HP Laserjet M Series is pretty good but I have been using Brother Printers. The HL Series is what we use for Black and White. The MFC Series for MFP. Your VAR should be able to do that if not CCB or GHA Technologies would be good VAR.

I'll be the 3rd and suggest Brother - Solid printers and low cost supplies

We went from HP to OKI and have been happy. OKI B731 is probably what you're looking for. You can have up to 4 trays and they also have large capacity trays (2000 pages).

Brother has been good, that is mostly what we use.

OKI is still around? Wow! I still think of dot matrix printers.

I have been a fan of some of the Brother printers as well. My only complaint is that some of the multifunction Brother printers have odd memory issues. For example if you send a fax and someone prints, you may get an out of memory error. I have seen this on multiple models and on the $600+ models. Also another complaint I get is that if someone wants to scan they have to wait for any print jobs to complete before they can do anything.

The best were the HL-5370DW. We just had two that FINALLY gave out around 150,000 pages. We still have about 5 or 6 around and they simply work. Never have issues just replace toner and the occasional drum.
The HL-5400 series had issues with their fusers, mainly if you were a decently high volume printer (1000+ pages per month). Less than 500/month we haven't had the same issues.
We have two HL-L6200 currently. The first one we bought kept creating creases down the middle of the page. Apparently it's an issue others have experienced as well and Brother exchanged it. The new one hasn't had that issue yet and it's been in place over a year now.
The only complaint I have is how the toner acts when it gets low. Many times when the printer says it's time to replace toner, the quality is still fine so you can reset the counter and keep printing. Unfortunately if you do that, eventually you'll start seeing toner slowly seap out onto the pages and if users aren't aware of what it is and let it continue, it can create a mess. We just train our users to change toner out at the first sign of this.

We've been replacing all of the 4000 series LaserJet printers (4100, 4300, 4350) at our client sites with HP LaserJet Enterprise M506x or M600 series printers with the extra tray set. In some cases the M600 series with the 1500 (3x reams) drawer setup is configured for high volume firms.
The HP Enterprise series just works. Plus, they work with Remote Desktop Services and EasyPrint in Server 2016+ without having to install any drivers on the session hosts.
EDIT: High Yield "X" series toners make the cost per page something like a penny per.

Samsung or Xerox
Actually Xerox bought some of Samsung printers and HP bought them all, then they closed it down and then reopened.
Regardless Samsung wanted to make new printer revolution and HP and Xerox bought them and stopped them. So go them

Yeah, OKI is still going strong. They only do business printers, not home printers, so they are not as big as some of the others. But good quality and value for money. You can still buy their matrix printers actually.
