        They have a demo too

        Pretty rough IMO.

Not a bad main page. OpenNMS has been around a long time.

PDQ inventory has a free version, it will pull Dell service tags.

It works a charm. Some limitations on the free version, but there are plenty of usable features.

                        Hi,

I know Spiceworks inventory can collect compute name and software installed. Can it also collect the Dell PC model, service tag and domain users for the computer? Or is there other free tools that can assist me collect the data above?

                        Is free a requirement?

I wouldn't use Zabbix for this. Definitely way more overhead then what you'd get out of it.

Most of this info can be easily pulled with powershell.

OP hasn't touched Linux in 18 years. Either he's got extremely dependable severs that he hasn't touched in 18 years or he's windows only.

Yeah. I was hero at my old job for bringing those into our environment.

Not using Linux isn't the same as Windows only. The average non-Linux IT person still has to deal with more than Windows. NAS or macOS, for example.

There aren't too many agentless ones out there that I'm aware of, but if your environment can tolerate an agent then you could look at GLPI in combination with FusionInventory. OCS inventory can also be used on it's own or in combination with GLPI, depending on your needs. I can't speak to the ease of installation or running either server on Windows, but it should be possible if running on Linux is entirely out of the picture.

It is, but @Sodium hasn't posted much of anything about it If I heard correctly they've hired a full time developer for it as well.

You mean the guy who lost his job after the sham company that hired Scott and him (can't recall that guy's name)
