Must be one of many annoyances that came with version 1803.

That's what I have read. But we had 1803 before as an update, instead of as a fresh install, and it did not have anything like this.

I've noticed a few things not working as well as they used to after a fresh install.

So far I found this but I can't tell if you permanently let Windows try to fix it automatically or just disable it.

I saw a site recommend going to System > Display > Advanced Scaling Settings and fixing it there. But it is already off there, and that does nothing. So once again, Windows 10 total failure. How do normal people outside of IT even use Windows anymore?

You can try turning on Focus assist to stop notifications.

Not sure which is better, Priority only or Alarms only.

Tried Settings > System > Notification and this appears to work. Ugh, what a pain. Nothing in there was obviously the source of it, but if you disable all notifications, it does appear to honour that you've turned off the notification system.

I would assume "off" is better, as why would any Microsoft notification be wanted? They are always both wrong and useless.

Instead of Focus assist, it was called Quiet hours.

Even after turning it off, still had it come up at least once 😞

It then gives options, but hitting either Apple OR Cancel

                            Freudian slip?

Oh, no you hate Apple, too. 🙂

But I don't want it to scale, it's doing the right thing. Off is correct. The notification is just wrong, period.

It's not scaling. I had to turn it on to fix Outlook and nothing changed sizes. It's for the handful of dialog boxes and applications that appear blurry for whatever reason.
