                  And it is $20 for the base unit. The PAN is $30.

                        Yea. . . I suppose but I also don't want to make my own ends (or run electrical to put these up). PoE would be nice. .

                          25' USB cable up into the attic woudl cover many scenarios.

                              It would (but I don't have any power in my attic (it's just a crawl attic).

                                I guess the simple answer is, run power to your attic and then use these.

                                  No, it is jsut under the awning, so cannot get wet.

                                      I will be because the auto AWS alert upload has a 5 minute cooldown.

                                      I missed catching the neighbor boy smashing the garden because of that.

                                            I have Ubiquiti UNifi Cameras in Multiple locations (Clients and Home) which work fine and as I have noted before I use an HTML5 web interface for the live feed.
