Meteor Chef Base Still Active?

Just stumbled on The Meteor Chef today, with their Base system which looks really interesting and promising, but there has been no activity on it in eleven months when there was monthly activity on it up until then. That worries me that the project has stalled and won't be supported with new updates, always a problem. Anyone familiar with it? Is it just on a break or doing some big update?

Too bad, would be nice if someone picked up Base and forked it into something maintained.
