Tryign to find enough coffee to overcome the time change!
@gjacobse I would love to get back into radio but with the 2 kids hard to find time. Though my older one is starting to show a good science interest so maybe a father and sons building project is not too far off.

You can use Share Activation with Office 365
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployoffice/overview-of-shared-computer-activation-for-office-365-proplusFor RDS and Device CALs monitor it with the Licensing Server.
Yeah i've been looking at that, but i don't think our current plan supports it.
From here
http://www.mirazon.com/licensing-office-365-in-a-remote-desktop-environment/Only a few allow "Desktop Virtualization" and we are on Business Premium at the moment

For RDS and Device CALs monitor it with the Licensing Server.
Is that one the server that has the licensing role? As i remember you set it to either Device or User when first setting it up.
Also how does it know if a device is covered by a User CAL or Device CAL? (Think this s whats confusing me ) -

Recovering from sleeping for 15 hours. Still feel pretty rough.

At least after sleeping 15 hours and having influenza I'm not so dehydrated as Tim McGraw that my wife has to call people and tell them that I can't respond to them.

Telegram has updated twice this morning.

Everyone is so sick here. One kid won't get out of bed. The other is curled up on the couch playing hidden object adventure games.

Replaced our aging whitebox pfSense (Intel Atom D5xx-series) with an UBNT ER Infinity. Also moved from "everything on VLAN 1" to multiple dedicated networks. Isolated hosted services in /30 subnets, each having its own VLAN (we do have a large /24 public subnet now truncated into /30's).
Trying to avoid any mirrors this evening. Will probably find three more gray strands.

Trying to figure out D-Star.
Good luck... i tried,.. and quit....
So, operating on an Icom ID-4100A. Once you are registered with a repeater, and you make successful contact with the repeater (it will tell you who it is with the UR? message). You can either tell the radio that you want talk locally to other D-Star users in your area, or you can use the repeater as a gateway to talk to other repeaters through the Internet.
The From will be your local repeater. The To will either be CQCQCQ or another repeater that you want to talk to. Haven't worked on reflectors yet. Still wanting to make contact with someone else in another repeater. Made CQ with my dad on simplex DV, so we know that works.

@gjacobse me too though we only have 1 D star repeater around here
My biggest beef with D-Star is that not only is it a 'special' repeater,.. but you need a 'special' radio. IRLP and Echolink need neither.
But - with looking at Fusion and DMR, even P25 - it's really the same thing
To me Echolink is almost cheating because all you need is a smartphone and a callsign to get setup.
My local repeater (K5CCL) is a fusion repeater, but the closest D-Star repeater is Dallas (either W5FC or K5TIT).

Discovered today that my great, great ^6 grandfather served at Valley Forge and crossed the Delaware with Washington to take Trenton.

Allergies are kicking my arse so hard today. Good. Grief.
Pollen count "extreme" indeed.
