I’m in the same boat as you, B2 seems to be the best.

Is there a reason you’re looking for something different?

Just always keeping my options open, plus seeing if anyone has found something cheaper with same or better features.

I've not found anything cheaper that's actually trustworthy. I'm backing up my home lab, personal, and family computers to it for less than $1/month. Really hard to beat.

I have yet to find anything that is as cost effective as BackBlaze B2 for appliance to cloud backups. Restore is painless (only had one critical issue with a Synology so far). Compared to CrashPlan, Azure blob storage, AWS S3, iDrive, etc. Nothing comes close in price.

Anyone using anything other than BackBlaze B2 to backup a Synology and loving the price/features?

I only have one Synology Backing up to Glacier but that's it. No need to restore unless is needed. That way I keep all data is not needed moved on.

B2 is what I would use.

After looking at pricing, past 2TB it makes sense to go with CrashPlan. It looks like their pricing is a flat $10/device/month for unlimited storage. But under 2TB BackBlaze can save quite a bit of money in the long run.

The setup is very unsupported though. https://miketabor.com/install-crashplan-synology/

                  Pretty ugly setup overall.

We use LTO-7 tapes, moving to LTO-8 later in this year. Of course, we are not authorized for cloud backups yet so with the amount of storage we have and wanting to take them offsite we went with tapes.

What do you use to get the Synology data to the tape?

Glacier. I have tried Crashplan with Synology and as @BBigford mentioned, it's messy, to say the least.

                        I haven't looked at B2 yet.
