Of course you've heard of WinDirStat, how about Wiztree?
-
Wiztree doesn't give you the pretty picture but loads in a fraction of the time that WinDirStat does.
Check it out here
-
That's impressive if it loads faster. WinDirStat is pretty impressive.
-
I don't know that pretty picture is really handy.

Sure it is, but the speed when you just want something fast - this thing is it!
Maybe with some donations to Wiztree they can add that.
-
Actually, thinking on it, the picture can be handy. If you have a few large files eating up tons of space, they take up a single, large square on the graphic. That has helped me out a few times.
-
I have a Wiztree out back for when the need strikes.... oh sorry, that's something completely different.
-
@Dashrender I converted to SpaceSniffer a while ago, seems to work faster for me.

That's pretty nice. WinDirStat is very useful but the graphics are a total waste and do not really seem to serve any purpose. I will have to give this a try.

Necropost!
Three years later and I ran into Wiztree again. Totally forgot about it.
But @coliver got his wish.

Oh does it run just as fast?
-
yes.
-
It looks like it is portable, which is something WinDirStat is not
-
Scans faster than WinDirStat and Spacesniffer, and it is more accurate.

Yeah, exactly. I'm not sure if I'd call it accurate or something else, it definitely has the ability to see more deeply into system protected things (OneDrive caches) that either of the others. That's what lead me back to Wiztree recently.

Thanks for the tip. I'm a WinDirStat junkie but I'll give this a spin. Although I would really miss just being able to type
<Win+R> iexplore ninite.com/windirstat
and 20 seconds later having it installed and ready to go -
