Looking for stock of the EdgeRouter 4

I wanted one a few days ago and couldn't find one
Got the ERL instead. -
I’m interested in these new units as well. And seeing the real benefits of these VS the ERLs.

The increased CPU capabilities are the big thing to me. It should allow more throughput while doing traffic shaping.

Ubiquiti has a list of suppliers on their website. That is easy enough to peruse. Knowing if one of them really has it in stock or not is a totally different thing.

DoubleRadius lets me put it in the cart, but I have had order issues with them in the past.

A question on this for anyone. At what size organization would you begin to look at the competition?

With the ER-Pro I am not sure there is a max size really.
And the new ER4 and 6 will be faster I believe.

Not normally, no. There are cases, but pretty rare.

I would certainly look at it for IDS, content filtering, etc.
But not for a router. -

Aside from the specs, the rackmount capability is definitely a plus.

@fuznutz04 Did not notice that. Now I really want some to swap out all the ERLs I have plastered everywhere.
