Display in patient room (medical clinic) - options

I've been asked about possible options for displaying things from an Android/iPad/iPhone/Windows device onto a display in patients room.
of course Chromecast was the first thing. Any other options people know of?
Need at least 12 different independent displays at the same time.
Chromecast wouldn't work for this. 12 different displays would show up every time a doctor or patient tries to do a cast. Judging from the threads you've posted here your doctors would complain about having to hit the cast button let alone having to select the correct display for the room they are in.
Basically, doctors will be doctors.

What will the displays be used for? I think that's an important question that you didn't provide an answer to. Streaming media? Or streaming apps on a phone or tablet to get information to a patient? Who will be the primary users? Nurses? Doctors? Patients?

Yeah, they're all way too busy milking every single penny they can out of both ailing patient and insurance provider to be bothered with clicking something. DAMMIT, THERE'S PROFITEERING TO DO, NO TIME FOR YOUR DAMN 12 DIFFERENT BUTTONS!!!!

LOL - good man. Nah, this is for another clinic I moonlight for. They would be OK with it. Though since it's really two clinics, I can easily see them having separate networks, so it would be about 8 on one, and 4 on the other.
Currently they OK'ed having to pick from a list.

They will primarily show the EHR screens to patients, or other static images while discussing treatment of whatever - example: they have knee pain, they might show a picture of a knee (muscles, bone, etc) and explain whatever to the patient.
It's possible they will show educational videos from time to time as well.

Short of having Displays with HDMI cables that will be compatible with any tablet or device (big pain). Chromecast will likely be your best bet. You can name you Chromecasts so they should be able to differentiate them. You could even use Chrome Sign builder to display information on them when not in use.

What we have in our offices is Crestron but that is expensive.

Looks nice. Yep, a bit pricey.. but really for something that should last 5+ years, $950 not horrible.
