      OP

My virtual machines are no longer starting for Windows Server 2012 R2.

We cannot inspect virtual hard disks.

      The error is:

      'FU-SVPDC' failed to start.
Microsoft Emulated IDE Controller (Instance ID 83F8638B-8DCA-4152-9EDA-2CA8B33039B4): Failed to Power on with Error 'The request is not supported.'.
Failed to open attachment 'D:\Hyper-V\Virtual Hard Disks\FU-SVPDC\FUF-SVPDC.vhdx'.
Error: 'The request is not supported.'.
'FU-SVPDC' failed to start. (Virtual Machine ID 7769439C-99DF-48D7-8F37-31C88633209C)

I cannot even create a new virtual machine.
      This threw another error:

A virtual disk support provider for the specified file was not found
      Error code: 0xC03A0014

What we tried, but didn't work:
      restarted server
      restart Hyper-V services
Changed FsDepends key, REG_DWORD value “Start” from 3 to 0

A preliminary search on this issue results in this possible fix.

According to the error code: 0xC03A0014

This is the fix (for server 2008).
