Solved Dumb question - 2 Post Rack Part Names
-
Is there a formal name for a 2 post rack support that would attach to the nearest wall and support the post from across the top?
-
An anchor.
-
Hrm
Not seeing that as an purchasable term on rack solutions. . .
Will keep looking.
Thank you
-
interesting.
I guess if I were looking, I might look up anchor as Scott suggests, but more likely I'd lookup cabling latter, as those are what I normally see those racks attached to above them, and the cables run along them for support.

Anything will work... just mount an L bracket on the wall... poke two holes on the bottom of the L, run a bar from that to the top of your rack.
Works great... no earthquake will take the rack down unless the wall goes with it.

That is the name "Cable Ladder rack"
Awesome thanks

@Tim_G Oh I know anything would work, but need some functionality as well we I've got things that should be mounted to the wall, rather than hanging from the rack.
So some cable management functionality is a good thing here.

Really should ensure a two post is anchored.
