@scottalanmiller hi thanks, i posted the above case even in the xo-forum, i hope it is not a problem?
Of course. They run the same forum software that we do, too
-
Do I understand correctly that you have also tried this with XenCenter and have run into issues there, as well? Any info on the error in that circumstance?
-
the case is this:
my xen server is hosted inside virtualbox. i have created a Debian Vm where i have set up Xen Orchestra from the sources. xen center is installed in my windows machine where VBox is also installed. I tried to import pfSense ova with both (XO and XenCenter). in XO it generates the following error.
i know my situation is a bit complicated but i need to test things out first in this conditions.\thanks in advance if you can help me

Wow that's a bit convoluted.. . . How are you accessing the web console of XO? Is XO on the same network as your system?
-
@DustinB3403 yes i am using an access point to have them in the same network. so just for info
XO (debian virtualbox) has an IP of 192.X.X.107
Xen host(Virtualbox) IP of 192.X.X.104
my windows host machine 192.X.X.101 -
@Alket_tux So with the systems all on the same network, you're using the import XVA/OVA functionality of XO, and you're getting the error above?
-
yes i selected pfSense ova to import through xen orchestra, and in the logs after the import started i visualized the error above

from the xo-forum i got an answer: they say that they have made a fix for this issue. do you have any idea?
-
@Alket_tux do you havw a link?
-

Sounds like he's telling you to update your XO install to ensure you have the fix.

The fix may not be available yet on stable, it could be, but he didn't specify.
-
yes i get that :),, do you have e link on how to update XO from the sources as i have never done this before.. i have read several things but i want to know if you have a link?
-
@Alket_tux Use this script.
-
thanks guys i'll give it a try and get back to you..
thanks a lot for the support -
Staying up to date on the updates is pretty critical for XO. They update things frequently. You'll be running this update script a lot.
