You have my full attention - please keep us in the loop.

And I found my own post about this still unresolved.

Sadly I forgot about the issue because other things kicked up priority.
/me needs a minion to keep a task list updated.

I need to work with my ERL more. After setting it up with your ( @JaredBusch ) assistance, and then re-configuring it to a higher speed, I've not done anything really to it. I need to sort out some more security I believe.. just because I feel it should be done.

OK I think it's VPN related. The one in that post was ospf and the one today is static routes. My guess is something on the VPN tunnels and it's routing is flipping it out. Those protocols of course aren't vpn spefic but something tells me it's likely routes from the vpns somehow causing it.

Starting work on this now that the office and branches are all empty.

sudo ipsec stop
kills all the tunnels but makes no difference to the CPU issue. -
I deleted the old traffic control policy and implemented a standard fq_codel policy with no effect.
I disabled the traffic analysis. no effect.

@JaredBusch Time to reflash the frimware and reload the configs?

@travisdh1 -- Maybe he should start with something simple... like a reboot? (I haven't seen him mention that anywhere).

The entire reason it came back up is that the unit rebooted itself (crashed) at 1300 CDT yesterday.
