I love health care in England 🙂

Everyone pays National Insurance & Taxes, everyone gets health care.

I love healthcare in Japan for the same reason. I hate it here in the US.

Our current Government is trying to break up our health system though, they want to convert it to American style, pay to play but they are managing the current system into the ground so that their "new" alternative will look amazing to the masses.

Yup, a tried and true strategy.

Public opinion thankfully, is with our current health system. People have gotten more suspicious of Gov cuddling up to big businesses and when most people have had their lives saved by this health system and the hard working, underpaid people behind it, they are very supportive.

Whether that is enough to stop this Gov steam-rolling it anyway, who knows.

I can't see it happening. The only reason why this Gov wants to leave the EU is because of "Human Rights Laws" which Europe is forcing on the UK. Their big business buddies love Europe, so they are making a dance to appease those who want to leave but a lot of people don't want to go, it's the same racist ignorant bunch who want us to leave the EU because "immigrants"

But then again, Trump becoming President worries me more right now.

                      Not me....

Because I've been voting for full emigration all along. This is what I need to push my wife over the edge. She's been teetering for years. Sanders getting in means we feel a need to be in the US and be supportive. Trump winning is so dangerous for Americans abroad that is actually fearful of carrying a US passport as our main passport.

I like how Hollande was like "so... if you aren't in the EU, we don't have to hold back the immigrants at the border. Not saying we won't... just casually mentioning that we don't have to..."

I'm definitely getting the feeling, but I don't interact with that many people, that the Brexit isn't seen as being a major issue here. I think that the longer it drags on the more people feel like "Maybe we'd be better off without them." And I know that the Scottish look ridiculous now for having voted to stay in the UK.

It's only happening because we need to blame someone for problems, so let's blame EU membership.

That's handy as when the UK leaves the EU will have them to blame for everything for a very long time after that.

They are so set on leaving, I feel like the mental weight is better to just write them off and treat them as having left. The trust necessary for the system to work is gone. I don't think of them as partners with the continent any more. Time for an "ever lesser union" with the UK. I truly think that the EU should drop the UK rather than letting them decide to leave and invite Turkey into the vacuum. Better to have those excited and part of the mission. The UK is too much of a fifth column in the system.

Behind closed doors, I really don't think they are set on leaving, they are just making a song and dance about it.

The problem with that is, it makes everyone less interested in keeping them around. I think of the UK as Europe's Texas now. They want to leave, everyone wishes they'd leave, the question is if they are brave enough to do it. Texas has tried that before and it went very, very poorly. They do a song and a dance and it just makes them a big joke. UK has become that to the EU now.

Don't get me wrong, I live in Texas when in the US and it has its points. But it has no business being part of the US and the US needs to cut it loose. It doesn't need it as a barrier against Mexico anymore and that's all it ever was, the ground the US could burn if necessary to keep the Mexican army at bay. With Mexico a friendly nation, Texas is just a drain on the US. If Texans wanted to stay and were committed to being in America it would be one thing, but they are not. They are a drain on the country, emotionally more than anything. It would be best if they just were left to go on their merry way.
