Construction Management Software

I think that QuickBooks has a module for construction companies. Would not recommend them, just throwing that out there.

Never looked at PeachTree, but they seem like they would be an obvious choice to check out.
-
Talk to other building companies and ask them what they use? Some of them might tell you where to go, others might be friendly and share.

was the company happy with those products? how was supporting them?
As far as I know, they still use all of them and they work well. I was a project engineer so I didn't have to support any of them. I haven't personally used HeavyBid, but it's very capable. I've used the others and they work well. Planswift is very easy to use. For just cpm scheduling, Primavera is kind of overkill, but PennDOT required it.

A friend of mine was just tell me about a product his construction client moved to.
I'll ask him the name.
they have no experience on it yet though, FYI - they are still in the process of implementing it. -

what kind of volume do they do? commercial, residential, contracting? would you mind asking them how they feel about it or giving me their contact to do so?
They do commercial stuff... I will ask if they would be willing to talk to you.

great @Dashrender and @Minion-Queen lemme know

Not sure if you have picked anything yet but here are two that my clients use:
- Spectrum - http://www.dexterchaney.com/index.php/spectrum-software
- ComputerEase - http://www.construction-software.com/
Both are very strong products. Not sure what you budget is but both I believe are a little pricey.
