DO, RS and Vultr all have console access. That's the same. RS has a slightly different performance profile. The big deals with RS are the full range of features that they offer. But these days, their benefits are rapidly dwindling.

Nice, thanks. I'll have to take another look. I've simply never recommended RS due to the price. DO's pricing is extremely affordable for small-medium businesses and people wanting to simply setup a test lab. I haven't broken down the pricing for medium-large scale, it just didn't seem logical based on the price (though the company I'm at now doesn't buy semi-new servers, www.insightsystemsonline.com sometimes has some really nice servers with a 3 year warranty). I looked last week and their inventory is nothing to write home about. The company I'm at now only buys straight from Dell.

According to their blog you can still use chrome://apps. But that appears to be a touch only interface.

Does anyone know of an alternative that allows for searching your apps by typing?

Both memory and CPU overruns, but memory more than anything. Now we have more threads, faster threads and tons more memory (which we are really using, too.)

It was really a combination of things. Memory was the biggest obvious issue, but the MongoDB 2.6 platform is quite a bit slower than the 3.x series and we changed database engines under the hood as well. So even though memory was our "bottleneck" on the old platform, we've sped up things that will reduce latency as well.

This is just for their web API. Not directly related to calls.

Lag is definitely better.

No, that would be a problem with the upgrade. An upgrade should not affect something like that. If it does then there is a bad flow in the upgrade process.

Prob since we switched to 9. I didn't really pay attention, but I noticed @dafyre tagged me and I figured maybe I should figure it out.
